Yesterday we found a crow with a broken leg.  It was first spotted sitting at an awkward angle in a field, but when we went to check on it at closer range, he flew away.  A good sign, except when he landed he was stumbling so badly it seemed he was at risk of falling out of the high tree… the only way he could ultimately support himself was by placing his weight on his outstretched wing.

Checking back on him today, he was drinking some water out of a doggy bowl, so at least he’s staying hydrated.  After he flew this time, he simply sat down on the tree branch rather than stumbling around.  We’ll make sure he has food within easy reach and that the water stays filled.  I’m really hoping with a combination of time and staying fed/hydrated, he’ll be able to recover.  Send him good wishes please!
