The subtle indentations you see in this street are the remains of five foundation stones which served to hold the foundation of the Paris guillotine (1851-1899) which once stood at the entrance to the now destroyed Prison de la Roquette.
Behind the scenes preview from a recent fashion shoot in Washington state… I’m in my favourite new gown o’blackness & those wickedly wonderful girls (wearing my lace, satin, and jet beaded collars) reminded me so much of the young witch sisters from Tim Burton’s “Sleepy Hollow”.
